A plaque in memory of Sarah is now in place at the Gardens Park in Summerlin (Las Vegas, NV). Perry Garrett, Shane Owings and a number of other friends of the Lautenbach family first proposed the concept of a memorial plaque program to the Summerlin Council. This paved the way for the creation of the The Summerlin Council's "Tree and Bench Dedication Program". This newly created program is now available in 14 different Summerlin parks.
Sarah's 6"x8" memorial plaque is appropriately placed immediately west of the children's play area at the park - where Sarah loved to play. Located beneath a tree and adjacent to a picnic bench and barbeque, the "Be Water Wise Through Your Child's Eyes" message will undoubtedly be viewed by many parents, grandparents and children.
